Why Concerts 4 Good
Mission
Concerts 4 Good creates a fund to send professional musicians into settings where their work can spark joy and hope: hospitals, human services facilities, and nursing homes among them. Thanks to your donations, the people who attend these shows can forget their daily challenges for a while and just enjoy a moment of relief. Since its inception, C4G has performed at Bay Cove Human Services, Mass General Cancer Center, and Spaulding Rehabilitation in Charlestown and Cambridge.
Our Story
In 2009, Jane Donnelly organized an annual Christmas caroling concert at Bay Cove Human Services’ facility on Bradston Street in Boston. Bay Cove provides services to people facing the challenges associated with developmental disabilities, mental illness, substance use disorders and homelessness. From the beginning, musicians Brian Moll and Mara Bonde volunteered their time and brought along other musicians as well.
From that tradition Jane began to dream of doing more of these kinds of concerts at Bay Cove and other settings. Then, in 2018, her brother William Donnelly suffered a traumatic spinal injury. The treatment he received at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital and other local institutions inspired Jane to give back to those caregivers and their patients by harnessing the power of music to heal.

Testimonials
Our events bring joy to everyone who participates!
I want to thank you all for coming in, yesterday was one of the most enjoyable days that I have had at work. Your performers were fantastic and your energy and enthusiasm for being here was great. Not gonna lie, I got a little teary eyed looking at the patients and their reactions. I do hope
that our paths cross again.
